There are a lot of reasons why people listen to soft electronic music. Whether you’re trying to stay focused on that pile of paperwork, or looking for something to get you through your workout, listening to soft electronic music can make all the difference.

A study published in November 2013 suggests that listening to music can help with memorization. Researchers found that when subjects were asked to remember a series of numbers and letter pairs, those who were listening to songs by Mozart had significantly better recall than those who were not. (1)

There are many benefits to listening to soft electronic music, but one of the most important is that it can help you sleep better.

A lot of people find it hard to fall asleep in a quiet room filled with nothing but blanketing silence. However, there are some who need the absence of sound in order to doze off. If you’re the type of person who needs some kind of noise to fall asleep, then soft electronic music is for you.

It may seem counterintuitive that someone who has trouble sleeping would want to listen to music rather than silence, or other ambient sounds like rain and crickets. But certain types of ambient music have been known to improve sleep quality. This is especially true for people who suffer from insomnia or other sleep disorders.

If you choose a certain playlist that is full of soft electronic music, it can help calm your mind and allow you to drift off into dreamland more easily than if there were no sounds playing at all. There’s no need for headphones or earbuds; just play the playlist on your phone or laptop while you lay in bed and close your eyes. Before long you’ll be soothed into a peaceful slumber!

Listening to soft electronic music while working on a stressful task has been shown to slow down the heart rate and keep blood pressure low. A recent study conducted by a group of scientists from Stanford University showed that listening to “soothing” music for as little as 20 minutes could cause the brain to release the hormone dopamine. Dopamine is a chemical in our brain that makes us feel happy. The researchers noted that the effects were not limited to just soft electronic music but could be replicated with any genre of soothing music including classical, jazz, or even ambient sounds such as thunderstorms or waterfalls.

A separate study conducted by a group of researchers at Harvard University showed that listening to “soothing” music while studying has been shown to increase test scores. This effect was not limited to just students who listened before taking the test but was also seen in students who listened during breaks between study sessions. So if you’re having trouble concentrating on your homework try putting some relaxing music in the background!
