The first thing you need to do is start off with the right tools. It takes a while to get good at something, so you might as well be practicing on something you will use in the end. If your goal is to be a professional producer, then it is best to invest in some real equipment from the beginning. By this I don’t mean you have to spend thousands of dollars, but at least get decent software and hardware that will last you a while and that you can grow into.
I’m not going to tell you what DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) or audio interface or studio monitors or keyboard controller to get because that would be like someone telling me what car I should buy. Mess Around With Sounds – Don’t be afraid to mess around with sounds! Just because it sounds horrible now does not mean it won’t sound good when it’s put together with other sounds in a track.
Give Yourself Time Limits – Give yourself time limits when making tracks (i.e. “I will finish this track by next week”) This is a great way to force yourself to work on a song until it is complete. Otherwise you may find yourself working on a song for months and months without ever finishing it.

This style of music has evolved over the years to include many subgenres such as techno, house, trance, electro, dubstep, and many more.
This type of music can be created with a variety of different instruments including keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines, turntables, mixers and computers. Most modern producers use software programs such as Ableton Live or FL Studio which allow them to create complex arrangements by combining samples from multiple sources together into one cohesive piece of work. You can also use hardware instruments like Roland’s TB-303 or Korg’s Electribe series to create unique sounds that aren’t possible with software alone.*

I’ve been producing for about four years now, and I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to create music that sounds professional. Here’s some of the advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.
1. Get a good set of headphones.
This is really important if you don’t have speakers or if you can’t use them very often. If your headphones sound bad, you will mix your music badly and it will sound bad on other systems. 2. Learn how to EQ.
EQ is the process of making certain frequencies in your mix louder or quieter (or completely silent) in order to make the sounds fit together better or have more impact or space. If you don’t know anything about EQing yet, don’t worry! There are many great tutorials online and YouTube channels dedicated to teaching it. You can learn what each knob does, when to cut vs boost frequencies, and how to use EQ to get the sound you want.
