Music is the best way to express your feelings. Today, there are many types of music. One of them is electronic music. It is a genre of music that is made by using electronic instruments and technologies. Electronic music appeared as early as the beginning of the 20th century. However, it has gained popularity in recent years.

Electronic music has many subgenres. They are House, Electro, and Techno. While some people do not agree on the classification and definition of these genres, we can suggest artists from each genre you can listen to this fall:

Do you want to listen to some dark electronic music? Well, I have recently been obsessed with dark ambient music. I’ve made a list of 10 artists who are at the top of their game in this genre. Have a look!

1) Lustmord: If you like Dark Ambient music, you have probably already heard of Brian Williams, aka Lustmord. His music is known for its heavy use of processed field recordings and synthesizers to create his own unique sound. He has released many albums that are considered classics in this genre, including Heresy (1992), The Place Where the Black Stars Hang (1994), and The Monstrous Soul (2000).

2) Raison d’Être: Peter Andersson is also a well-known name in dark ambient music circles. His first full-length album was released in 1994 and he has been making music ever since. Many albums have been released under the Raison d’être moniker including Re-Release of all the CDR album between 1998 and 2008 on 7xCDR Box Set in 2010 and The Empty Hollow Unfolds (2012).

Bonobo is a British musician, producer and DJ based in Los Angeles. His music features mostly downtempo chillout beats with African-style vocals. Bonobos music is perfect for anyone who likes to listen to music while working.

2. Purity Ring

Purity Ring is a Canadian electronic duo from Edmonton, Alberta. The group consists of Megan James and Corin Roddick. They released their debut album Shrines in 2012 which reached number 8 on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart, number 31 on the US Billboard Independent Albums chart and number 96 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Their second album Another Eternity was released in 2015 and reached number 38 on the US Billboard 200 chart, number 2 on the US Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and number 5 on the US Billboard Independent Albums chart.

3. Flume

Flume is an Australian record producer, musician and DJ. His self titled debut studio album Flume was released on 9 November 2012 to favorable reviews, topping the ARIA Albums Chart and reaching double-platinum accreditation in Australia. Flumes music features a mixture of beats with vocal samples mixed in. It can be best described as mellow electronic or ambient electronic

Dark electronic music is a musical genre that features an ominous, sometimes unsettling atmosphere. It has a variety of influences, including industrial, noise, ambient and experimental.

Many dark electronic artists are known for having particularly dark themes in their music, or for wearing gothic fashion. The genre can be described as a combination of dark ambient music with other genres such as ritualistic industrial music and darkwave.

The term “dark electronic music” can refer to a wide range of artists and styles, including dark ambient, witch house, martial industrial and power electronics. The term was coined in the late 1990s as a way to describe the darker side of electronic music.
