BONUS Free download of the new single named A is for Apple

The new single, A is for Apple, is available for free download at http://aforapplemusic.com/.

The song features a driving drum beat and synthesizer textures similar to the music of Daft Punk and Justice. Unlike the songs of these electronic acts, however, this track incorporates a song structure with a verse-chorus-verse form and melodic vocals. The result is an upbeat electronic dance/pop hybrid that will appeal to fans of both genres.

This track was produced by Lyle XOXO and Tom Martin as part of their upcoming album, Funerals & Carnivals. The album has been in production since 2010 and is tentatively scheduled for release on 12/12/12.

I’m Noa James, formally known as Noa J and was born in 1982 in Leavenworth, Kansas. I am 32 years old and currently live in Santa Fe Springs, California with my wife and three children. I’ve been writing raps since I was 12 years old and recording music since I was 18. My first album came out when I was 19 in 2002. I’ve been writing professionally ever since.

My music has always been about my life growing up poor and crazy. It’s about my family, my friends, and herstory (history). It’s about politics, religion, and other things that people deal with everyday. I feel like life is a big joke so I can’t take myself too seriously in any aspect of

Under the moniker A is for Android, I’ve been prolifically creating and performing experimental electronic music since 2008. I was fortunate to have been born into a very musical family and had access to an array of instruments at a young age. Due to my extensive classical music background, I began experimenting with electronic production in 2008 after moving to Los Angeles.

I’ve found that electronic music is not only the perfect medium for my creativity, but also allows me to create exactly the kind of sound that I want to hear. It’s like sculpting in sound. A lot of what I create is unlike other music and is often described as being very cinematic or soundtrack-like. Overall it’s quite dark and atmospheric, yet fluid and danceable.

I was born in the UK, raised in rural Tasmania and now live in Sydney. I’m a music producer who makes experimental electronic music (and other things) at home.

I began this project as a way of keeping myself sane during the COVID-19 lockdown. I asked friends to challenge me to make a song in 24 hours or less, and they have come up with some great prompts.

The result is an experimental electronic song every week that was made using only one synth sound (the “source”). Sometimes it’s just me and the source playing around, sometimes it becomes a full-on banger with vocals and drums, sometimes it sounds like the inside of my head.

I hope you enjoy listening!
