The new Off-Broadway musical, The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse, has begun performances at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Opening night is on May 13, for a limited run through June 1. The cast includes original Matilda on Broadway Milly Shapiro, as well as Natalie Walker (The Big Gay Jamboree), Keri René Fuller (SIX: The Musical), Sara Gettelfinger (Water for Elephants), Luke Islam (13), and Patrick Nathan Falk. The title of the show stems from the name the tabloids called Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan in 2006. Set in the modern day, the musical follows Gen Z sleuths looking for information on an early 2000s one-hit-wonder who mysteriously vanished.

The limited Off-Broadway engagement will play at The Pershing Square Signature Center, part of The New Group‘s 30th anniversary season. The final production of the season will be Bowl EP, written and directed by Nazareth Hassan. Bowl EP follows two young rappers and will feature original music. Bowl EP is a co-production with Vineyard Theatre and National Black Theatre, and it will run at the Vineyard.
