Synergy was a band formed by Larry Fast after leaving Peter Gabriel’s studio band. He was a classically trained pianist and synthesizer player who produced over 10 albums in his career. I want to start off by saying that I am a huge fan of retro electronic music. It’s especially great for people like me who are in their mid-twenties and want something a little different from the current trend of pop punk bands. Here is a list of my favorite retro/electronic bands:

1. The Postal Service

The Postal Service is an American indie band which formed in 2003 in Seattle, Washington. The band consists of Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jimmy Tamborello (synthesizers, electronic drums) and Jenny Lewis (keyboards, vocals). They released their first album called “Give Up” on February 18th 2003.

2. Daft Punk

Daft Punk is an electronic duo formed in 1993 in Paris, France. The group consists of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Daft Punk reached significant popularity in the late 1990s house movement in France and met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house with synthpop. They have worn ornate helmets and gloves to assume robot personas in most public appearances since 1999 and rarely grant interviews or appear on television.
