Top 10 Songs to Study/Work To

I found a great article that lists the best songs to study/work to. The author of the blog, Ed Tittel, has provided a top ten list of each genre as well as three songs that are best to avoid. He states that he has used this playlist for over 10 years and it has helped him become more productive.

I have listed the top ten songs below in no particular order:

Enya – Only Time

Yanni – In the Mirror

Sade – No Ordinary Love

Moby – Porcelain

Enigma – Sadeness Part I

Depeche Mode – Policy of Truth (Remix)

Blank & Jones – Beyond Time (Ambient Mix)

Café Del Mar – We Can Fly

Loreena McKennitt – The Mummer’s Dance (Radio Edit)

Dead Can Dance – Yulunga (Spirit Dance)

If you are like me, and have a hard time studying to music with lyrics, then this is the blog for you. I have compiled a list of the top songs to study/work to. All the songs are instrumental and all of them seem to be effective in helping me focus on my work. I hope they help you too!

If you’re a student, you’re probably familiar with the scene. You’ve just sat down at your desk and finished unpacking your pencil case. You have your textbooks open on your desk, and you’ve pulled out some lined paper. You’re ready to start working on that assignment due next week!

But what do you do when you sit down? You pull out your phone and put on the first song that pops up in your music app. As the familiar notes of “One More Time” by Daft Punk begin playing, you realize it isn’t really helping you focus on your school work.

Every student has had this experience. It can be hard to find songs that are upbeat and motivating without being distracting from the task at hand. So I’ve compiled a list of my favorite songs for studying/working to! These songs have been hand-selected to help keep you focused and motivated while still letting you jam out while doing homework!

So without further ado, here are the top 10 songs to study/work to:

I’ve been looking for a resource like this for a while, but I couldn’t find anything that had good recommendations. So, I decided to create my own list of songs that are great for studying/working to.

My criteria for a song being great for studying is that it has to be instrumental (very few exceptions), it can’t have lyrics, and it has to be energetic enough to keep you awake, but not so much that you’ll want to dance around instead of study (i.e., no dubstep!). I also included some calming songs in case you need something a bit more relaxing.

I’ve ordered the songs based on genre: ambient, classical, hip-hop and rap, pop, and rock. If you think there’s another song missing from this list that would fit the criteria, leave a comment!

This is a list of songs we’ve found to be helpful for studying and working. They are all instrumental, relaxing, or ambient songs that can provide a nice background soundtrack for whatever you’re doing. We hope you enjoy this list!

1. Chopin – Nocturnes

2. Vangelis – The City

3. Piano Guys – Mission Impossible Theme (Missions Impossible)

4. Yanni – One Man’s Dream

5. Hans Zimmer – Time (Inception Soundtrack)

6. Cinematic Orchestra – To Build a Home

7. Clint Mansell – Lux Aeterna (Requiem For A Dream Soundtrack)

8. Tchaikovsky – Sleeping Beauty Waltz

9. Mozart – Piano Concerto No 21 in C Major, Andante (Elvira Madigan)

10. Tycho – Awake

If you’re a high school or university student, you’ve probably had those moments where you just can’t concentrate on your work. When you have so much to do, the last thing you need is to be distracted by something.

So to help out, I’ve compiled a list of 10 songs that will hopefully help keep you focused. The only requirement is that they have to be instrumental. No lyrics whatsoever. And they can’t be boring either (which is why I’m personally not a fan of classical music).

Here’s the list, in no particular order:

1. Alan Walker – Spectre

2. Chillstep Mix – Best of 2017 (1 Hour Music Mix)

3. Chillstep Collection

1. Rameses B – I Need You (feat. Charlotte Haining)
