We all know that the 80s was a pretty awesome decade for music and especially for dancing. There were many great bands and DJ’s around at the time that would put on really awesome concerts or parties. The scene was very different back then than it is now. Here are some of my favorite bands from this period and how they compare to those of today.

The Cure – The Cure was one of those bands that had such a unique style and sound, they could make any song into their own. They were also known to be very theatrical and dress up in these crazy costumes while performing live which made them even more popular with fans. One thing I noticed when listening to this band is how much they changed over the years, but still managed to keep their original style intact. The king of the 1980s dance scene was, without question, Studio 54. The famous club was “the epicenter of hedonism,” says Ian Schrager, the co-founder of Studio 54 who spent time in prison for tax evasion, as quoted on CNN. “It was all about incredible music and beautiful people. That’s what made it so special.”

Studio 54 is where the cool kids gather to dance and drink the night away. If you want to do something just a little bit different from all your friends, then this is the place for you. All you need to do is make sure that you are dressed in your finest clothes and that you have a few extra bucks in your pocket for a cab ride home at the end of the night.

The 80s were the best decade for dance and club music. The best songs of the 80s are still very popular in dance clubs, on the radio, and at weddings. Some of the most popular bands of all time came from that decade.

The 1980s were a time of growing and changing for the soft pop genre. Well known bands such as New Order and the Cure rose to fame, while many other electronic and dance bands were coming into existence. This period was also the time when electronic music was becoming popular with the masses, so it is no wonder why some of the most popular songs of all time were created during this decade.

Here is a list of some of the most influential bands to come out of this musical era, as well as some information on how they got started in the first place.

1. Depeche Mode

This group was formed in Essex, England in 1980 by Vince Clarke and Andrew Fletcher. They quickly became one of the most successful British bands of all time with their unique sound that combined synthesizers and standard rock instruments such as guitar, bass and drums. The band has sold over 100 million records worldwide and won numerous awards including two Grammys.
