Welcome to Dark Electronic, an online blog dedicated to the dark electronic scene. The dark electronic scene is a genre of music focusing on the darker side of things, including the occult and satanism. This blog is provided to you by myself, a long time listener of dark electronic music.
This genre is underappreciated by most. Many people think that this genre would be listened to by only evil or depressed people, which isn’t true at all! I created this blog to show everyone that dark electronic music isn’t scary or evil, it’s just music! It’s especially great for dancing and partying.
I’ll be posting new articles on current artists in the scene, along with their music and upcoming events. Feel free to join in on the discussion board and share your thoughts too!
In the year 2014, a new genre of music has begun to emerge. In this new genre of music, artists are not afraid to experiment with new sounds and create an eerie atmosphere in their songs. This scene is what is known as “dark electronic”. Many people have made the mistake of associating dark electronic music with the depressive or depressing type of music. This is not true. Dark electronic is meant to make you think and feel something different. Not to depress you or make you sad.
Some of the biggest names in this scene include Perturbator, GosT, Dan Terminus, and Carpenter Brut. These artists really know how to capture the essence of what it feels like to be awake and still be able to feel that dark presence surrounding you.
I am going to tell you about these artists, their backstories, what they have accomplished so far, and what they have planned for their future careers as musicians in the dark electronic scene.
It is my belief that electronic music has always been in the dark. We are a group of people who enjoy the darker side of the electronic music scene.
Dark Electronic is a term originally used to describe a style of industrial, mostly synthesizer-driven, music that emerged in the mid-1980s and early 1990s.
It was mostly characterized by dark atmospheres, distorted/electronic percussion or drum machines, and harsh synthesizers or samplers. Many artists also used heavy guitar riffs and distorted vocals. Some bands were known for their controversial imagery or lyrics. In the late 1980s, industrial metal and gothic rock began to merge and influence each other; some artists made both types of music at the same time.
Dark electronic music is a genre of electronic music that features dark, introspective, or unsettling themes.
