Who doesn’t like a little dance music? I sure do. Last night, I went out to the club with my friends and danced until 3 am. The DJ was spinning deck, and the floor was packed with sweaty bodies. I love that feeling of being able to let loose and dance with strangers. It’s one of the best parts of being alive.

So what is electronic dance music? You might be familiar with artists like David Guetta and Deadmau5. But there are many different types of electronic music, including house, drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep, trance, electro and techno. Each type has its own style and sound.

That’s why it’s important to know the difference between them if you want to make a good first impression on someone new at a club or party. Some people say there are only two types: house and techno; others argue that there are many more than just those two genres. The truth is that there really isn’t one definitive answer because everyone has their own opinion about what constitutes an EDM genre.*
