I have personally picked the 13 Best Electronic Dance Music Songs Ever. I have also chosen who I think are the 13 best DJs in EDM (a.k.a. electronic dance music, or just dance) from around the world and ranked them accordingly.
EDM has become a huge genre of music over the last few years, mainly due to social media and the rise of festivals like Ultra and Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). It has exploded into popularity with big name artists like Deadmau5 and Skrillex winning grammys and dancing or fist pumping becoming a worldwide phenomenon.
It is also a genre that is constantly evolving, with new music and new sounds being created all the time as well as remixes and mashups of other songs to create completely new tracks.

For me, electronic dance music has always had a bad rap. Often seen as a fad or something that is only popular on the internet, it’s not something that most can appreciate except for the most hardcore fans.
That’s where this blog comes in.

Another great track from Pink Floyd. This song was originally written for Syd Barrett, a former member of Pink Floyd who left the band due to drug abuse. The lyrics are about Barrett’s drug addiction and how he was unable to connect with people anymore because of it.

This song was released in 1977 as part of their album Rumours which sold over 40 million copies worldwide and became one of the highest selling albums of all time!
