Electronic rock bands is a website that aims to bring you the best music blogs and interviews on the internet.

Our mission is to help aspiring music artists get exposure for their music. We are always on the look out for new talent, so if you’re an aspiring artist be sure to upload your music.

Electronic rock bands are gaining in popularity. If you’re an independent musician, you may be considering putting one together.

Podcasts

Podcasts are great for musicians because they allow you to have a conversation with your audience, which is something that doesn’t happen often unless you’re in front of a crowd. What’s best about podcasts is that you can use them as another way to promote your band if you don’t feel like launching into a full-blown blog.

Interviews

Interviewing other musicians can be a great way to get to know your audience and find out what they want to hear from you. Even those who don’t think of themselves as interviewers can set up a home studio and conduct interviews with their favorite musicians over Skype.

Blogs

A blog is also a great way for musicians to connect with their fans; however, it requires more work than starting up a podcast or conducting interviews. A blog gives you the freedom to talk about whatever you want and allows fans to comment on your posts and send feedback.

Bands make music by playing together. Electronic musicians don’t play together, usually. They tend to be solo artists working alone in studios, like Sean Lennon and Moby, or collaborators working with the help of the Internet, like Datarock and Sam Sparro.

That means that in addition to their records, which are often collaborations with other musicians anyway, you can enjoy them online. Most musicians have MySpace pages where you can watch music videos and listen to their music; many have blogs; some have podcasts; a few are on Twitter. Here are links to some of my favorites:

Au Revoir Simone

The band Au Revoir Simone is three sisters who create dreamy electronic pop with keyboards and toy drum machines. They’re also on Twitter and have a website where you can download free MP3s of their songs from a number of different albums.

Datarock

The Norwegian band Datarock is sort of a joke about rock bands; they wear red tracksuits, for example, and call their fans “datarockers.” But their songs are remarkably catchy. You can hear some of them for free on Last.fm, or read about them on the band’s blog or MySpace page.

Moby

The following is a list of electronic rock bands. This includes rock artists who have either been very important to the genre, or have had a considerable amount of exposure (such as in the case of one that has been on a major label). Bands are listed by the first letter in their name (not including the words “a”, “an”, or “the”), and individuals are listed by last name.
