This is because laptops are easier to use than desktops and you can use it anywhere even if you don’t have an internet connection.

You will also need to get yourself some software for recording your tracks. The most popular software is FL Studio or Ableton Live or Pro Tools. These programs allow you to record your tracks into different formats such as MP3 or WAV and then export them onto CDs or DVDs for distribution.

The next thing that you will need is an audio interface which allows you to connect your computer’s soundcard with the microphone, speakers and other equipment that you want to use for recording.
