How To Promote your music: a blog about the different ways you can promote your band or music.
There are many different ways to promote yourself as a musician or band. Some ways are more effective than others, but ultimately it comes down to what works for you and the kind of music you do.
Below is a list of some of the methods that bands can use to promote themselves. I list them in order of effectiveness, with the most effective first.
How To Promote your music: a blog about the different ways you can promote your band or music. There are lots of ways to go about promoting yourself, so I’ve chosen a few of my favorites, and tried to include a little bit of everything in this site. It is based on what has worked for me, as well as what I am currently trying.
You can take any one of these ideas and use it on its own, or you can try a combination of them (which is usually more effective). You should never just stick with one method though – there are thousands of bands out there doing the same thing, so you have to be creative.
Most importantly – don’t get discouraged! Just because you haven’t gotten a record deal today doesn’t mean it’ll never happen. You’re in control of your own destiny – good luck!
There are many different ways you can promote your band or music. Some of them might cost a little money but most of them are free. Here’s a list of some of the different ways you can promote your band or music:
We will look at a number of ways to promote your music, from the most obvious to the most obscure.
There are many different ways to promote your band or music. The best way is to just get out there and play as much as possible. But there are other things that you can do in addition to gigging.
Whilst some are free, others cost money. Some take a lot of time, some not so much. It may be worth thinking about which ones you want to pursue.
If you have lots of time but very little money, it might be best to put your energy into methods that take a lot of time but are free – like writing articles and submitting them to magazines, or building up a website and promoting it through search engines. If you have little time but lots of money, it might be easier for you to hire someone else to do the hard work for you – like paying for advertising space on websites or in magazines, or hiring a publicist who can get you interviews and reviews in the press.

I am not a professional marketing manager, but I worked for one of the biggest rock bands in the world and I learned a few things.
Things like:
How to get your music played on the radio

How to sell more tickets to your shows
How to use social media effectively (without annoying your friends)
I’ve gotten a few requests on how to make something like this. Here’s a basic plan for getting started.
Step 1: You’ll want to pick a nice looking template from one of the many online sources. A great place to find these is at Open Web Design. They have over 3000 free website templates available for download.
Step 2: Open up your favorite HTML editor such as Dreamweaver or Kompozer and start playing with the template, changing colors, fonts, etc. This is probably the most tedious part of making your own website but the more you play around with it the better you’ll understand how it works.
Step 3: Once you have a design you like save your template and preview it in your browser. If everything looks good then we’ll move on to step 4, adding content!
You can add content to your website by opening up your HTML editor and modifying the page(s) that came with your template download. Just double click on any of the files to open them up in your editor and start adding text right away. If you need to add images then look for an img tag with a src attribute like this:
