This post is about how to get started with electronic dance music for beginners, and how to develop your skills in DJing and making electronic music. I’m going to give you my advice from my experience with learning how to make electronic music, and what I’ve learned as a DJ.

I started learning EDM when I was in high school, my first year in college. I started out as a DJ, just playing some tunes that were really popular at the time like Skrillex or Kaskade. It was really fun but it wasn’t until I got into a few good sets that I really found the inspiration to start making my own tracks.

I didn’t know anything about music theory or even what kind of sounds I liked so I just started playing with some different sounds and trying to figure out what they sounded like together. It was definitely a process of trial and error but eventually I did find something that worked for me.

I just had a lot of fun with it, and eventually found myself wanting to write more songs and get better at producing them so I decided to take a little bit more serious approach towards it by studying production books, listening to different artists’

Join some groups or communities in your area that are dedicated to EDM.

Get your feet wet and learn more about the genre! Check out some blogs or forums on the web where people share tips and tricks about how to get started with DJing or producing music.

The reason this is part of an “educational” series is that the way most people get into electronic dance music (EDM) is by going to a festival or rave and hearing it live. You can also get into EDM through friends who are DJs/producers and do EDM, but for the sake of this article we’re going to assume you’ve never been exposed to it in any way, shape or form.

I’ll warn you: if you’ve never been to a rave or festival before, there’s a good chance you could get addicted. I know I did. The combination of beautiful outdoor settings and high-energy music is one that’s hard to beat. Combine that with the feeling of being surrounded by thousands of other people who feel the same way, and it’s easy to see why this could be an addiction for some.

So how do you get started? How do you get into sets quickly? There are several ways, but they all involve money (or lack thereof).

The first option is to go with a friend who already knows a lot about EDM. If you have friends who are DJs/producers, ask them if they would like to join you at a party so you can learn more about it from them.

Just like you, I’ve always wanted to get into electronic dance music. The bass, the beat and the energy are all reasons why I love electronic dance music. There’s nothing like it in the world.

When I was 15 years old, my older brother bought me my first ever pair of decks. It was so exciting, I didn’t know where to start! So he sat me down and gave me a quick tutorial on the basics of DJ-ing. After that, I spent hours every day listening to different tracks until I discovered my favorite genre which was progressive house. Once I found my favorite genre, there was no stopping me – that’s when everything changed…

The most important thing is to practice as much as possible! No one becomes a great DJ overnight – it takes time and dedication but if you really want it then anything is possible. If you’re serious about learning how to mix then spend at least 2 hours everyday perfecting your skillset (more if possible).

I hope this helps anyone who has
