Free Electronic Music for Everyone: A blog about finding quality music that is free.

Welcome to Free Electronic Music for Everyone, a blog about finding quality music that is free. I will be posting music I find that can be downloaded for free. You can use the search box in the sidebar to search by artist or song title.

If you are into electronic music you will love this blog. Some of the music I find on here is not just free, but also some of the best music ever made. If you know of any songs that should be added please post them in a comment and I will add them ASAP.

Thanks,

Free Electronic Music for Everyone

This blog is a continuation of the work I began on my website, www.freeelectronicmusic.com. The blog will focus on finding new music and new artists who are offering their tunes for free (or at least a low price) download or streaming.

Primarily, I’ll be looking for dance music: techno, house, trance, electro, breaks, etc, but I’m always up for hearing new sounds and I certainly won’t be limiting myself to just one genre.

These days there are so many ways to get your music out there; digital distribution is changing the face of the music industry and it’s an exciting time to be chasing that elusive perfect beat! For some reason our culture has labelled electronic music as “cheap” because it’s created from computers. But in reality the software and hardware needed to produce good quality tracks is expensive and hard to master.

So please support your local DJ’s and producers by buying their CDs or merchandise if you can afford it – especially if you like what they’re doing! There are thousands of talented artists out there giving away their best tracks for free because they know how important it is to get their name out there.

I love free music. I love finding new music that is free, quality music that is free, and sharing it with others to create a community of people that love good music as much as I do.

I have been a fan of electronic music for around 15 years now. My first real electronic album was Fatboy Slim’s You’ve Come A Long Way Baby. I still remember the first time I heard it. It was on a ski trip and we were driving up to Lake Tahoe in my friends moms SUV and she had this cd playing. The speakers sounded like crap and we were trying to see how loud we could turn them up before they started distorting. We never found out because they always distorted. But it didn’t matter because the music was so cool.

I soon found out about Fatboy Slim from the video game Tony Hawk Pro Skater (the first one) which featured some tracks from the album. From there I built my collection of electronic music and have never stopped listening to it since.

If you are looking for free electronic music you have come to the right place. There are so many places that are filled with free electronic music but you have to sift through it all to find the best stuff. That is what this blog and my book is about.

I am a long time fan of free and legal music and I am here to provide people with all of the information they need to find the best free electronic music.

There are so many great free music websites online, it can be hard to find them all and know which sites offer the best content. That is what I am going to do. I will be finding the best sites for free electronic music, legal downloads, and more.

Not only will I be showing you where the best places are but I will also be reviewing new releases that are coming out from all genres of music as well as telling you about any new ways that you can get your hands on some really good free music!

This blog is not affiliated with any specific genre, artist or record label. The purpose of this blog is to help expose and promote free electronic music. All of the content posted is free to download and share.

The majority of the music available on this site will be released under a Creative Commons license. These licenses allow artists to retain ownership of their work while still allowing others to use it for free. However, the artists still maintain control over how their music is used, so please respect their work by following the guidelines set forth on each individual release.

In addition to sharing Creative Commons releases, I will also share other releases that are offered for free from artists who have chosen not to apply a license to their work. Some of these works may be promotional items or simply releases given out as a token of appreciation.

I’ve been listening to a lot of music lately. I really enjoy finding new music, but I am not always able to do so. I’m hoping that this blog will help me find new and interesting artists. There is so much great music out there, and a lot of it is free!
