The Faces Behind the Names in Electronic Music is a blog with an interview series profiling electronic music producers. The interviews are designed to shed light on the processes and personalities behind some of today’s most talented upcoming artists, as well as the lives that they live outside of music.

The blog was created by freelance writer and marketing professional Alexis Taylor, who interviewed many of the featured artists during his time at Beatport. Faces Behind the Names in Electronic Music is a blog with an interview series profiling electronic music producers. The blog is run by Sam Rolfes, a graduate student and musician at Brown University.

The interviews are conducted via e-mail and cover the producers’ work, musical influences, and their perspective on the state of electronic music today.

Each interview is in the form of a conversation so that you can learn about the artist’s background and their production process, how they got into electronic music, their current projects and future plans, and other interesting bits about their life and music.

The blog is run by Moony. He started the blog to get to know more about his favorite artists. He has also interviewed some of his friends in electronic music, as well as artists whose work he enjoys.

Our goal is to get to know the artists behind the music and provide insight into their creative process. We hope to give exposure to newer artists, while also highlighting some of the veterans of electronic music.

A blog with an interview series profiling electronic music producers.

I’m an electronic music producer/DJ and I’ve started a blog where I interview up-and-coming electronic music producers. The idea behind this is that the electronic music scene is notorious for having artists who keep their identity hidden, or at the very least, don’t give any sort of media representation other than their music. In the interest of bringing some transparency to the electronic music scene, I’ve been conducting interviews with these musicians to get a feel for who they are both as people and as artists.
