We live in a technological world. With the rapid development of computer technology, many things have become much easier and convenient, even music has been changed. In the past, people had to buy a lot of CDs and cassettes to enjoy their favorite music. But now, with the advancement of computer technology, more and more people listen to music on computers.

For me, I do not think this is a good thing because it has some negative effects. The most obvious impact is that computers are not specialized for playing music. Computers are designed for multi-purposes and hence are not as good as professional music players in sound quality. For example, my friend once bought an iPod to replace her computer as a music player. After using it for a few weeks, she said that she was very satisfied with the sound quality because iPod was just designed for playing music. Moreover, it is difficult to organize your favorite songs in computers especially when you have a large amount of them. Unlike iPods or other professional music players which have perfect organization functions, computers have no such functions at all. Last but not least, it is inconvenient to take your computer with you everywhere you go. If you have an iPod or another kind of MP3 player, you can take it with you easily

The Basic Channel sound is one of the most copied in the history of electronic music. The duo of Mark Ernestus and Moritz Von Oswald produced a series of stunning deep dub techno tracks that were easily some of the best electronic music ever made. One of their defining tracks, “Quadrant Dub I”, is cavernous, dark and utterly hypnotic.

4. Aphex Twin – Ageispolis

Richard D James, otherwise known as Aphex Twin, is one of the most consistently good electronic artists ever making music. He has released some incredible albums throughout his career but it’s his track “Ageispolis” from the classic Selected Ambient Works 85-92 album that’s still one of my favourites. A pulsating bassline and trance inducing synth melodies make this an electronic classic that’s beautiful from start to finish.

The duo known as Boards Of Canada have been producing great ambient electronica for quite some time now and their debut album Music Has The Right To Children is still one of my favourite albums to date. One track that really sticks out on this album is “Roygbiv”. It’s a chilled out trip
