What better way to spend your Saturday than by baking cookies and listening to chill music? If you’re like me, you probably like to listen to some good tunes while cooking or baking. It helps pass the time and it’s always good to have a soundtrack to what you’re doing.

When I’m baking cookies, I like to listen to chill electronic music. Whether it’s a hip-hop-esque beat with some funk instrumentals or a slow electronic beat, I love it all. Here are my favorite songs that I listen to when I’m in the kitchen whipping up something delicious:

To be honest, I only started listening to music while I bake because my husband Tim had a really terrible habit of watching TV while he cooked.

I would spend hours preparing a beautiful meal, and while I was cooking, he would sit in the kitchen, eyes glued to the TV screen. And it drove me crazy! So as an act of passive aggression, I started blasting music from my iPhone.

It’s amazing how much more enjoyable baking is with a little music. It almost makes cooking fun! And it’s like medicine for the soul (I’m talking about the music, not the cookies).
