Ableton Link
Perhaps the easiest way to sync up two computers is Ableton’s Link feature. The software works as a standalone app on any device running iOS 8 or later, or as part of Ableton Live 9.5 if you’re operating on a Mac or PC.
Link works by analyzing audio signals from each connected device (up to four), then using what Ableton calls “Phase Matching,” aligns the tempo between them so they stay in time with one another.
The software works across different wireless networks, requires no setup whatsoever and can sync up devices within a few milliseconds from each other. One minor drawback is that Link isn’t currently compatible with timecode-based vinyl setups, but everything else should work just fine once you’ve downloaded the software on every connected device.
