Electronic music is one of those genres that gets broken up into subgenres. In this blog post I’ll be talking about the three main types of electronic music: house, techno and trance.

“House” is a popular style of dance music that originated in Chicago and Detroit during the late 1980s. It’s known for its repetitive 4/4 beat, synthesized basslines and soulful vocals. House music usually has upbeat tempos ranging from 100 BPM (beats per minute) to 130 BPM with repetitive synthesized melodies played over top of them at various intervals between 1 minute and 15 minutes long.”
