The world of electronic music is exciting, and it is an amazing experience to hear your favorite DJ at a live performance. Electronic music festivals are great venues for enjoying the electronic music scene and meeting other fans. There are hundreds of festivals around the globe.
These are my top 5 favorite events. If you have not attended these festivals, I strongly recommend that you do so right away.
Electric Zoo Festival
This annual festival in New York City has only been running since 2009, but it has already attracted some of the biggest names in electronic music. Major headliners have included Tiesto, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, and Calvin Harris. The event also includes a number of smaller stages where up-and-comers perform as well. This year’s event is scheduled for August 30th through September 1st.
Ultra Music Festival
The Ultra Music Festival runs for two weeks each March in Miami. This year’s event was held from March 15th through the 17th. The festival features multiple stages with performances by some of the top DJs in electronic music today. This year’s festival featured performances by Tiesto, Kaskade, Afrojack, and many others.
When people think of electronic music, they automatically associate the music with dance clubs and raves. This misconception is what prevents many people from becoming interested in electronic music, or even attending an electronic music festival.
