The Best Electronic Music of All Time in descending order

Electronic music is amazing. You can take any sound and do anything with it. That’s why it’s so popular these days, because of the many ways one can manipulate a sound and turn it into a new sound. In this blog I’ll list the top ten electronic songs and artists of all time, in my opinion at least.

1.) Syro – Aphex Twin

2.) Seven Nation Army – The White Stripes

3.) All of Senses Fail’s songs (but especially ‘Calling All Cars’)

4.) Trip Like I Do – The Crystal Method

5.) New Divide – Linkin Park

6.) Girl U Want – Devo

7.) I Can’t Get Started – Bunny Berigan

8.) Teenagers From Mars – Misfits

9.) Jizz In My Pants – The Lonely Island

10.) Anything by Basshunter

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, electronic music became popular in the mainstream in Europe.

In the United States at that time, acceptance of dance culture was not universal. Although a vast majority of Americans today have been exposed to electronic music, most of them are uninterested in “underground” forms of electronic dance music such as techno and progressive house. While some Americans following mainstream trends enjoy certain forms of electronic dance music, others remain indifferent or even hostile to it.[citation needed] The popularity of electronic dance music declined in America during the early 2000s after the brief popularity of trance and progressive house in the late 1990s.[citation needed] After a decline in popularity during the mid-2000s, new styles emerged in Europe that drew on influences from several different genres (such as electro house), creating a new form of EDM that is attracting attention worldwide. Most recently, there has been an increase in popularity of more “underground” forms of EDM such as UK garage. These artists include Joy Orbison and Mumdance. Some commentators have started referring to this renewed interest in underground styles as post-EDM.
