The album is a sonic tapestry woven from the threads of industrial, techno, and ambient, with a distinct Scottish influence. This fusion of genres creates a unique and captivating soundscape that is both familiar and alien. The album’s title, Infernal Rapture, evokes a sense of both chaos and beauty, reflecting the album’s complex and multifaceted nature.
It’s not about the end of the world, but the end of something else. The end of innocence, the end of a certain way of life, the end of a particular sound. The album is a sonic journey through the mundane, the ordinary, and the overlooked. It’s about finding beauty in the everyday, and recognizing that even in the mundane, there is a sense of wonder. The album is a meditation on the passage of time, on the ephemerality of life, and on the inevitability of change.
“My art is a reflection of my identity as a trans woman of color. It’s a way for me to express my experiences and connect with others who share similar experiences. I use religious imagery because it’s something that I’ve always been drawn to and I think that’ll always be part of my identity as a trans woman of color. It’d be a shame if I didn’t use it in my art.
They wanted to create a track that was full of energy and excitement, something that would get people moving. This is where the magic happens. They’re both incredibly talented and passionate about music.
